Recently, the SC.Soft team participated in the event Global approaches on combating countering of telecommunication/ICT devices and mobile device theft from ITU (International Telecommunication Union) as an expert and presented the benefits of implementing CEIR at the state level.
ITU is an international organization that promotes the development of telecommunications and information technology worldwide, setting overall standards and making recommendations.
It was highly useful to gather in one place the views of experts from different countries on particularly common problems in the telecom market. Each region has its own interests and specifics, and it sounds curious — to consider common difficulties, but come up with individual solutions for particular cases.
An amazing diversity and high level of participants (big players, communication regulators, operators, etc.) made it possible to discuss development trends on the largest possible scale. What is already present in the arsenal of specialists in one region now can act as a novelty for the regulator of another region tomorrow, and vice versa. ITU provided a golden opportunity for the exchange of ideas and perspectives in this regard.
The presentation of the CEIR potential from SC.Soft at this level of participants gave a strong start to solving widespread state and social problems, such as financial losses for both state and operators, state security risks, illegal import of devices, poor communication quality, etc.
The platform controls the import and production of mobile equipment, registration of users and their devices in the networks of mobile operators in accordance with local legislation. The event participants were curious to know that, in addition to consulting as such, the communications regulator will receive a full ready-to-operate CEIR from SC.Soft in combination with EIR nodes for each operator in the country, which is a globally unique feature for today.
