The Messaging Hub platform now supports the new business message template format that Viber has introduced. The update was developed at the request of a major international messaging aggregator and is already in commercial operation.
Most of the work went into migrating existing templates: some of the aggregator’s clients had accumulated up to a thousand of them, and each had to be brought in line with the new rules without interrupting their campaigns. The Messaging Hub team handled the migration as a separate stage after the core update was installed and automated it, using AI to convert the templates. While the work was underway, Viber refined its template formatting requirements several times, and the platform was updated after each change, so the aggregator’s clients did not have to rework anything by hand.
Support for the new format is part of a series of updates Messaging Hub is receiving this year as the messaging market evolves. The platform has also started delivering one-time authorization codes via Telegram and passing additional parameters in RCS message headers. Upcoming updates will cover new WhatsApp and Viber business features, and we will share the details as they launch.
Messaging Hub enables aggregators and operators to deliver messages via SMS, messengers and RCS from a single platform, with changes on the messengers' side reaching the platform without any rebuild of the client’s infrastructure.
