SC.Soft has added a Billing module to its Messaging Hub platform. Rating of enterprise senders, balances and service bundles now run in the same system that routes and delivers messages, and new products and tariffs are set up through configuration, with no custom development.
Operators and aggregators often rate A2P traffic through a core billing system that was never designed for enterprise senders, or run a separate system just for that. Either way, launching a new tariff or bundle takes time. The built-in module brings this into one place.
The module supports prepaid, postpaid and hybrid policies. Each product can have a flat price or step and tier pricing, and the system picks the right rate automatically based on the rules and priorities of the tariff plan. One client can have several tariff plans, as long as their rules do not conflict.
Billing distinguishes between service providers and service consumers, and one client can hold both roles. A client can have several legal entities and bank accounts, with settlements tracked by contract and linked accounts.
The module connects to Messaging Hub via an open API. Operators that already run their own billing can still integrate it with the platform through CDRs and APIs.
