Multichannel Communications for Fintech: The SC.Soft Messaging Hub Platform

Financial services increasingly find that SMS is no longer the default channel for transactional notifications and one-time passwords. SMS costs keep rising, while users have grown used to messengers and push notifications. At the same time, reliability requirements only tighten: a missed OTP is a failed transaction and a support ticket.

The SC.Soft Messaging Hub platform receives, processes, and delivers messages across multiple channels: SMS, Viber, WhatsApp, Telegram, RCS, Push. For fintech companies and MVNOs, it solves three tasks that usually live in separate systems: delivery of transactional messages with cascading fallback, management of marketing campaigns, and transparent billing across all channels.

Cascading delivery is configured as a chain — for example, Viber → SMS → Push. If the recipient is unavailable in the priority channel, the platform automatically switches to the next one. For OTPs and payment notifications, this means the message reaches the recipient through the most cost-efficient available path, and delivery guarantees don’t depend on the availability of any single channel.

Marketing teams work with campaigns through a dedicated client web interface — without involving IT for every send. The platform supports templates with variables for personalization, scheduled campaigns, click tracking, address books, and stop lists. Each user operates within their permission set, and every action is recorded in the audit log.

Billing is a dedicated focus area. Different message types can be priced separately: transactional notifications, OTPs, and marketing messages can all follow different tariffs. Flexible pricing models allow tuning tariffs for specific clients and channels, and cost-based routing automatically selects the most economical path within defined SLAs. CDR file formats can be adjusted to integrate with existing billing and accounting systems.

Deployment is on-premise, within the customer’s infrastructure. For financial organizations, this means that subscriber data and message content stay within the company perimeter. The 2+1 cluster architecture — two primary data centers plus a third site for quorum — ensures automatic failover without manual intervention and delivers throughput of more than 15,000 messages per second on production installations.

Building a national IMEI registration system that works: lessons from live deployments

Registering mobile devices by IMEI has become a mainstream instrument of digital policy. Such systems now operate in dozens of countries under different names — NEIR in Bangladesh, DIRBS in Pakistan, CEIR in India, national IMEI registration in Uzbekistan — yet they address the same core task, and are known in the industry collectively as a Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR). For regulators and operators weighing one, the practical question is how to design a system that delivers measurable results without creating friction for subscribers.

Product Life Cycle in Practice: Managing the Maturity of SMSC

When people talk about the Product Life Cycle, they usually picture the textbook curve: launch, growth, maturity, decline. In practice it is not a graph but a specific moment when a decision has to be made about a product that still works but no longer matches the reality of the market.

Fraud prevention is more critical than ever — and our platform is ready

Telecom fraud is one of the fastest-growing threats in the industry. MEF, GSMA, and regional regulators worldwide are dedicating increasing attention to the issue: round tables, working groups, and new legislative frameworks are emerging across Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Europe.
