At the end of 2022, our company took part in a tender aimed at the implementation of the EIR system for Kcell, one of the largest mobile operators in the CIS.
Тhe regulator of this operator conducted a legislative norm for registering phones' IMEI in a special register. The main point is that the EIR from another vendor operating at that time could not manage to maintain functionality and ensure high-quality communication. Since the technical solution on board didn’t meet the required standards of the communications regulator, the customer began to look for a new one and arranged a tender. By that time, SC.Soft had considerably mastered the expertise of working with the IMEI-IMSI-MSISDN triplets necessary for EIR systems, and ultimately won the tender, having the opportunity to take up this prospective project.
Quite remarkably, both Kcell and SC.Soft got tied not only in terms of the tender, but also by common homeland, since both were representatives of the industry from Kazakhstan.
Upon completion of the work, our installed EIR system began to fulfill all the functionality needed in full compliance with the requirements of the regulator and provided high-quality service to its users for the IMEI registration. Also, as part of the module, an efficient geo-distributed system with automatic switching from one node to another was installed; now it’s literally located in two data centers in different cities. Thus, we provided a highly reliable, extremely functional hardware-software complex, completely covering the needs of the customer.
